For 3 cups of water, measure out 1oz (4 level scoops) of whole bean coffee. Grind the coffee beans between medium and coarse grind size (approximately setting 28 on the Baratza).

Brewing Process

Place freshly ground beans into the French Press. Heat water to 200° to 204°F. Pour hot water into the French Press. Stir for just a few seconds. Remove stirrer (spoon). Place French Press top piece on top with filtered opening away from pourer to get brewing coffee hot. DO NOT PLUNGE DOWN YET. Wait at least 6-7 minutes. Plunge. Turn top till pouring side is towards front. Pour into thermos and / or cup for your enjoyment.
